Philippine Airlines joins oneworld as only the second Southeast Asian carrier in the alliance, alongside Malaysia Airlines.
You’ll now have access to 31 new destinations, including popular island destinations like Boracay, Palawan, and Cebu.
You’ll also be able to earn Avios on Philippine Airlines flights and enjoy elite status benefits like lounge access and priority boarding across all oneworld carriers once integration completes.
How to Earn Avios Points in Canada
Avios are the shared points currency across the oneworld airline alliance programs, which includes British Airways, Qatar Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, and Finnair.
You can earn Avios directly by flying with any of the oneworld airlines. You can also transfer points at a 1:1 ratio from RBC Avion Credit Cards and American Express Membership Rewards cards, giving you plenty of opportunities to earn many Avios points.

Once Philippine Airlines completes its oneworld integration in 2027, you’ll be able to redeem Avios directly through British Airways Executive Club on flights from Toronto and Vancouver to Manila.
You’ll also be able to connect to plenty of destinations across the Philippines, Asia and beyond.

Philippine Airlines flies nonstop to Manila from Toronto three times a week and daily from Vancouver.
Both routes operate on the Airbus A350-1000, featuring business class, premium economy, and economy cabins.
Business class on the A350-1000 comes with lie-flat seats and direct aisle access.
You can currently redeem Avios through Qatar Airways for business class flights from Vancouver to Manila starting at 110,000 Avios, and economy from 55,000 Avios.
From Toronto, flights start at 154,500 Avios in business class and 60,000 Avios in economy.
Award availability has been very good, mainly from Vancouver. Availability and rates may change once Philippine Airlines is bookable across all oneworld Avios programs in 2027.
