There seem to be two main versions of the current Aeroplan® points purchase bonus promotion.
Some have up to 100% purcahse points bonus, with targeted levels that can look as follows. You’ll need to buy at least 80,000 Aeroplan® points to get the full 100% points bonus.
Other Aeroplan® members will mostly see an offer to buy Aeroplan® points with an 80% bonus. The minimum threshold is also lower, so you’ll only need to buy at least 10,000 Aeroplan® points to get the 80% bonus. You can check yours here.
The standard price for Aeroplan® points is 3.75 cents per point, plus taxes based on your credit card’s residency. With this promotion, you can get Aeroplan® points for as low as 1.875 cents with the 100% bonus.
Aeroplan® notes that points are usually deposited within 72 hours, but we typically see the points instantly. Purchases are final, so points can’t be returned once processed.
Keep in mind that since you’re buying through a 3rd party, the purchase usually won’t count as an Air Canada transaction for any extra category bonus points.
