What are Amex® Offers
Amex® Offers give you statement credits or bonus points when you shop with select retailers using your American Express® cards, like the Platinum Card.
Offers change often, so you’ll always find new chances to save money, offset annual fees, and earn bonus points on purchases you were already planning.

What Amex® Cards Qualify
All American Express® cards qualify for the Amex® Offers program. Each card shows its own set of offers, which is why you and someone else may see different promotions. For example, I might get one on my Business Gold, while my spouse sees the same offer on their Cobalt.
You’ll find Amex® Offers across a wide range of products, including all Membership Rewards® cards and co-branded cards like Aeroplan® and Marriott Bonvoy®. Both personal and business cards qualify, as well as credit and charge cards.
Higher-tier cards like the Platinum, Business Platinum, and Aeroplan® Reserve tend to get the most valuable offers. Strong everyday cards like the Cobalt and Gold also frequently receive targeted Amex® Offers, making them a great choice if you spend heavily on groceries, dining, or travel.
Amex® Offers Explained
You’ll find Amex® Offers with airlines, hotels, restaurants, clothing stores, and even delivery services. Some, like Shop Small or Instacart credits, are recurring.
Some offers apply to one merchant, others to a category, and a few work anywhere. Most require a single purchase, though some let you reach the spend over multiple transactions. Always check the rules.
Amex® Offers generally fall into four types:
A. Fixed Statement Credit
You’ll get a fixed credit back after spending a set amount. For example, spend $100 and get $20 back.
The Platinum Card®, for example, has a recurring offer for a $20 monthly credit when you make two purchases of at least $10 each.

B. Percent Statement Credit
You’ll get a percentage back once you meet a minimum spend, up to a limit. For example, 10% back on the first $1,000 spent.

C. Fixed Bonus Points
You’ll earn a lump sum of points after hitting a spend target. For example, spend $100 and get 2,000 points.
D. Bonus Points per Dollar
You’ll earn extra points on each dollar spent, up to a cap. For example, earn 10 points per $1 up to 1,000 points.

How to Enroll in Amex® Offers
You’ll need to register for Amex® Offers before you can use them. Just click “Register Your Card” on the offers that interest you, and you’re set. Tap on any offer for details and fine print before you shop.

Offer Terms
Each offer has its own rules, so always check before you shop. Most have expiration dates, and travel offers are often limited to purchases in Canada.
You’ll usually need to buy directly from the merchant, and sometimes through a special Amex® link. Gift cards and promotional items are often excluded.
Receive a Credit or Bonus Points
It’s really very simple and best of all automatic. You’ll usually get an email confirming the offer after your purchase.
Statement credits often post within a few days, while bonus points can take up to 90 days to appear in your account.

How to Maximize the Value of Amex® Offers
Amex® Offers are a great way to save money on purchases you were already planning and earn plenty of bonus points. You’ll want to make sure the purchase gives you real value, since not every offer is worth it.
Register Early
You’ll want to register as soon as you see an offer, since many have limited quantities. Nothing happens if you don’t use it, but you’ll always keep the option open.
Stack with Shopping Portals
You can stack Amex® Offers with shopping portals to earn even more. You’ll first register for the Amex® Offer you want, then go through a shopping portal that gives the biggest bonus for that retailer.
Pay with the card that has the offer registered, and you’ll get both the Amex® Offer reward and the portal bonus.
Split Payments Across Cards
You and your partner can sometimes split payments if you both have the same offer.
For example, if you each register for $100 back on $500 at a Hotel and the bill is over $1,000, you could each pay $500 with your own cards. You’ll both get the $100 credit.
