It’s easy to earn plenty of Aeroplan® points in Canada, making it simple to reach flight rewards faster.
You’ll earn points when you fly with Air Canada or one of its 48 partner airlines in the Star Alliance network.
The number of points you earn depends on your fare and Aeroplan® Elite Status level.
You’ll also earn points with a great lineup of personal and business Aeroplan® credit cards from TD, CIBC, and American Express.
These cards come with generous welcome bonuses and strong earning rates on dining, groceries, and Air Canada purchases.

Aeroplan® Family Sharing
The Aeroplan® Family Sharing feature lets up to eight Aeroplan® members pool their Aeroplan® points together.
If you travel with family or share earning opportunities, Aeroplan® Family Sharing is one of the easiest ways to make earning and redeeming points even better.

Aeroplan® Elite Status
Aeroplan® Elite Status gives you extra comfort and priority when flying with Air Canada or Star Alliance partners.
There are five tiers: 25K, 35K, 50K, 75K, and Super Elite.
You qualify each year based on distance flown, flight segments, and spending on Air Canada flights before taxes and fees.
A great feature of the Aeroplan® program is that you don’t need to fly often to reach 25K Aeroplan® Elite Status.
With Everyday Status Qualification (EDQ), you can earn 25K Status just by collecting 100,000 qualifying points in a calendar year.
You’ll earn those points through Aeroplan® partners, Air Canada® flights, and your Aeroplan® credit card. Each eligible point you earn counts toward EDQ.
The higher your status, the more benefits you’ll enjoy when flying with Air Canada and its Star Alliance partners.
You’ll get priority check-in, boarding, and baggage handling, along with access to preferred seats at check-in.
Aeroplan® Elite members enjoy priority check-in, boarding, and baggage handling.
Higher tiers get Maple Leaf lounge access and eUpgrades, making every flight more enjoyable.

One of our favourite Aeroplan® redemptions is business class flights with Star Alliance partners between Canada and Europe at a standard rate of 70,000 points each way.
Last summer, we flew with SWISS in business class from Toronto via Zurich to Italy. The flight was incredible.
We enjoyed great food, excellent service, and lie-flat seats that let us sleep comfortably before landing.
